BI mencatat portofolio kredit untuk sektor pertanian baru mencapai 5,5% dari seluruh total kredit perbankan nasional. Untuk bisa meningkatkan jumlah kredit pertanian perlu dilakukan pendirian lembaga keuangan khusus pertanian.
